Window Shopping: Zara

Maybe it's because I've always dreamed of working in a creative team and dreaming up displays myself, but one thing that excites me more than shopping is Window displays. I recall that even from an early age, I would always point out the best displays to my mum.  I also think they are a great source of outfit inspiration, I'm sure if you dig around in your wardrobe enough you will sometimes find you already own very similar.

Zara Christmas Windows 2011

How amazing are these windows, a huge well done to the creative team at Zara ! I have to say some parts of the window display that are a tad creepy, I didn't photography those but I just HAD to share these with you. Even as a kid window displays have always been a love of mine, not just at Christmas. I think when people come to London, they should gasp with excitement at displays and that doesn't happen very often as displays seem to be getting more and more alike.

I love the use of makeup in this display, and it's very glamorous and not OTT I don't go in Zara a lot ( I can never find things I like inside) but this display had me running in to see their current collections.

H&M Window Display A/W 2011

Images: Mine taken at Regent St H&M

I'm loving the winter displays, one of my favourites is the H&M one's (this was at Regent st) I think it's all the mix of textures them have used. I think as it gets more chilly here it's all about layers, so for me it's all about chunky scarfs and boots.

I adore the last outfit in this display, I'm loving leather look tight jackets I want one that just has leather/leather look sleeves and either denim or a tailor blazer look. Also it's 25% off one item of your choice, it's valid till 13.11.2011 if you use discount code 9437 just put this in when you reach the checkout at www.hm.com ( Minimum order value £6 after applied discount). They have an huge choice at the moment, I just want everything like I said I'm a tad texture mad so just want to buy anything knitted etc...

I will have the part 2 of my Very post up soon, have you seen Claire's post on it (love her photos) us eating cake and having a laugh go check it out. Hope your all having a great week.

Covent Garden : Window Displays

Images: Mine

I took these a while ago, but never got around to showing you I always love Summer window displays and these ones really got my attention. The weather was good too, so the photos came out really well I hope that when the sun does return these may give you a little inspiration. I always love understated style in a window display, it's great for going to your wardrobe and getting a similar look ....One thing I did spot were headscarves are a must, everyone had them so for a quick 2011 Summer update add a scarf into the mix or flower headband.

I hope you all have a good weekend and I'm praying for sun, it's so boring having lots of great Summer pieces and having to grab out warm jumpers! It's June, anyway I'm sure we will all get a chance to burn our little faces off soon. I had to snap a photo of this bridge by James Street, I just love that you find little treasures like this in the city they make it worth looking around beyond what's in front of you. How amazing are these KG shoes, I swear them and I run over to this window display. I saw it before but I had the better camera this time so could really capture just how amazing they are, I love the brown pair in the middle they have the most interesting heel.

So I know this is a tad random, but you know I love to share with you what's going on in London, I love seeing window displays on blogs across the country and in other parts of the world. Me and Barry are going to try and get some cool photos tomorrow, oh and I have to show you my new nail art, they are a little messy but uber cute. Have a fab weekend.

Window Displays & The Cathedral

Photobucket

I just adore these window displays at Oasis, it was so sunny that I struggled to get good shoots of them still I love the retro television's and to see something different. These were taken at Bank, I also loved the Topshop display's there simple but screaming of summer, there are so many amazing builds around this area you only have to look up and every building has a different style. I actual under up here because I was half asleep, and not paying attention to the fact my bus was one behind. Still I have not been here in a while and I love the new shopping centre, and you have this amazing view of St Paul's Cathedral just across from it (a must for photography's). So Baz can go snap happy and Corben can have a good run round and I can shop!

Thank you for all your messages, I am feeling a little better I think I over did it yesterday with all my freedom. Been drinking stupid amounts of tea and become newly addicted to watching The only way is Essex, and off for pie and mash tomorrow so I'm sure that well have me back to myself. I will show you my mini makeup haul tomorrow, I have so many posts planned I need to slow it down. I really want to do some outfit posts, but cookie monster jammie bottoms and a oversized tee are not want I have in mind. Fear not I won't post any photos of how scary I look hanging round in doors, makeup free with Corben's food smeared down me.

How divine are these window displays at Mulberry Covent Garden, I took them a while ago and forgot to share them with you. One day, well I can dream ....

These are from H&M, I really wish I had bought them but if they still have the cardigan next month I may have to get it. I love cream and black together, and to mix pretty light texture's with hard, cold vixen like fabric's, that wonderful tough pretty chic. It's great that the sun is out in London, we can final  ditch all the mega warm layers, for relaxed flowing outfits. I like just being able to wear a cute, light jacket over everything and still be warm, or with a cardigan as it doesn't get that hot other here yet. I'm really into patterned cardigan's at the moment, they are great for jazzy up those otherwise dull outfits (we all have them).

The cardigan is available online, I have to stay away from the H&M site at the minute or  I would buy it all. I am going to try and shop in some other places as lately everything I own is either from there or Tesco clothing (they have some beautiful summer pieces).

H&M window display, Krisp Kreme heart doughnut Barry got me, H&M s/s 2011 (I want it all), Accessorize heart ring, Models Own kit.

So today I took Corben to a play centre with my friend and her too daughters, we had a really nice day and it was great to see them chasing each other (and they kissed bless em, not even two yet). It was a nice change from what I usual do and I felt like a real mum ...sounds weird but I did. It also means I'm not out spending money I don't have, on the new S/S 2011 collections that seem to be everywhere which is funny considering if you poked your tongue out for long off it would freeze ....It's so cold here in London.

Aww Barry got me this heart shaped doughnut, not because we loved Valentines it's just I love hearts (and skulls) so anything heart shaped is a winner. so I snapped up this heart ring that I got on sale, I think I may have told you about it on twitter it's from Accesssorize and is sooo cute. I finally got around to using my models own kit I actual love everything in it, I don't really use eyelash curlers so I'm not sure about them. I love the the eyeliner and the eyeshadow is really cute on too, and considering it was the price of two newspapers well worth it.

Speaking of Newspapers giving away things, I heard that The Sun (buzz) are doing a Barry M kit (12th feb) all you do is take the coupon from the buzz magazine and pick it up at Superdrug ....So Hopeful I get my mitts on one. Ends the 18th of February.

Anyway just a little post , sorry have a photo project coming soon. Me and Barry have decided to combine our work in the form of 'Uber Art' (this is our company name), he is letting me use his camera (I know faint on the floor) and I'm creatively directing and than he is processing and adding in the final touches (he has such a great eye for finishing effects). We have some photos finished, but you will have to wait a little longer. Hope you are all well and welcome to my new readers and thank you for your comments on being a superhero (they made me laugh).

Vero Moda Launch @ Oxford Street

Blazer: Tesco
Demin shirt: Tesco
Zip skirt: Topshop
Pumps: Topshop
Necklace: Primark
Belt: Vintage

So First of all Happy 18TH Birthday to the lovely Caroline over at Ergy Erg. Also it was Winnie's birthday too at Diamond Canopy this week as well so go leave some love for them. So Thursday saw the launch of the new Vero Moda store, I was lucky enough to win one of their many TWITTER prizes of a gold bag. The gold bag meant that on the day of the launch I could select a free outfit, this could include either a top or dress, with a bottom and outerwear. So I was more than over the moon, as you know things have been tough for me at the moment. So it was great to go to a fun event, and even better that I would be getting a whole free outfit.

So the launch was a amazing there were hunky guys handing out sweeties and they had a DJ banging out some tunes. I was so impressed at the staff, not only were they helpful the shop floor recover was quick so the store was pretty tidy (it was mental, so many people). My aunt had come from Kent to see my mother and stay with me, she come to the launch and bagged a sliver bag outside the store. Which meant she could buy one, get one free ( you got the cheapest free), so she was really pleased.

A lot had already gone, so the stuff that was on my list got scrapped. I did get three fab things, the first is this killer biker jacket. The second are these great shorts that look like a skirt and the last thing was this gorgeous dress (very Lanvin style) which I'm going to wear for any parties around Christmas. also meet a couple of people off twitter and blogspot, the lovely Kellie (Big Fashionista) who has this amazing blog.

The lovely ladies handing out the Vero Moda post, full of inspiring outfits and all the excitement happening in store. I am loving there Vero Moda avatar jackets too. There were huge balloons that popped and released loads of sliver tickets with buy one get one free. You can currently buy Vero Moda online UK at ASOS .com, they also have a facebook page and their own blog.

They will be launching the UK online store soon. It was a great day I also went to H&M to see the brand new home collection up and close, so will show you in my next blog post. Thank you for all your feedback and welcome to new followers, you lot blow my mind. Thank you my darlings you are the best, need to catch up with all your new post's. Sorry that I am here and there, I have a heap going on, so I will try and keep this current and get back to you. If you have any questions please email me, as I can get back to you the some day. Anyway thank you again and hope you all had a great weekend.
