What I Wore: To LOVEBOX

If you follow me on Twitter or Instagram, you would know that I attended Lovebox last weekend. The sun was beating down and me and the Fashion Sept girls, were excited for the fun day ahead. Once we had a couple of snacks and put on our skin tattoos, it was time to grab our passes and head in. The weather was amazing, and I'm so pleased I went with a dress. My look was a mix of raver meets folk, I wanted a soft look as to me the most important thing is being comfortable. I love this frilly bardot top, as I do love to layer but I didn't want to wear a jacket so it was the perfect alternative. Of course I wanted it to be fun still, so on went my pom pom headband, and rainbow rucksack.

As the flags were blowing in the wind, and with the feeling of the hot sun on my back. It was great that I could share this experience with some fellow bloggers who also happen to be my friends. We had such a laugh snapping photos, sharing food and queuing in the never ending line for the bar. Time seemed to rush by.

Headband: ASOS
Blouse worn underneath & Necklace : Simple Be*
Dress: Superdry*
Socks: New Look
Gold and Sliver Skin Tattoos: Flash tattoos*
Shoes: Truffle
Bag: Little Marcel*

I love the flower detail on this dress, and because it has a stretch back it was great that I could enjoy my mac and cheese (best festival food ever) without feeling like I was in a vice. I went with my chunky shoes, as it's amazing how much walking you will do at any festival. It was also stupidly dusty, and every time I sat down I had to remind myself to wipe it away after.

But after drinks with the girls and crazy wonderful music, I forgot about the dust and enjoyed the day. Seeing Annie Mac was the highlight of Lovebox for me and really made the day. I'm pleased I didn't play it safe, and I think if I went again it's better to wear something comfortable but a little out there. I'm really looking forward to wearing these again, and I think they will always remind me of fun times with the girls. I love how sexy, without being too sexy the off the shoulder top made me feel and I think I would be getting a couple more to add to my wardrobe soon. I had a great time and look forward to Lovebox 2016.

LOVEBOX 2015 With Superdry

As I waited  for the other Fashion Sept girls at the gate, I felt nervous, excited and overwhelming happy to not only spend the day with friends but to soak in everything that's wonderful about being at a festival. Meeting random cool people, snapping photos on my new Instax mini (I got the purple one * which is my favourite colour) and eating some tasty mac and cheese.

As Clare cracked open a bottle and we settled down just outside the entrance to put on our flash tattoos*, before heading in. Beth placed some on the back of Annie's leg, which looked amazing. Leigh helped Clare with some hand tattoos, and Lois and Amy took their first snaps on their Instax minis. We chatted and had a good catch up before realising we were still outside. All kitted out in Superdry and SimpleBe, I was ready to dance the evening away with the girls.

We picked up photographer passes, and than made our way to the main entrance. The girls all looked wonderful, and were all bubbling with excitement. We checked out what others were wearing, Amy and I loved a girl's look who was dressed in a mermaid top and skirt. There were a bunch of guys dressed as snow-white and the seven dwarfs, and it seemed that this year it was about having fun ad not taking it too seriously. Fairies  unicorns, 90s ravers, troll doll wigs, feather headdresses everywhere you looked there was an outfit more outrageous than the next. Yes it looked bonkers, but these people were laughing and just cutting loose. The whole vibe was ' relax it's a festival'.

Lovebox is massive, with bar tents, food stands, glitter face painting, clothing stands and roller disco there's always something to do. We managed to catch some of Jessie Wares set, but started getting hungry so decided it was mac and cheese time. We also were given some cupcakes from the people at  La Di Da Cupcakes, which had popcorn on top and images of thee Lovebox.

As I had a quick walk around, a girl with a feather headdress and glitter on her face stops me to take my photo. I love how both blended with the colour of her hair, so ended up taking her photo too. She said she loved the neon flowers or my Superdry dress, before taking my details on what I love about Lovebox.

Being bloggers we quickly snapped our outfit, and than it was time to grab a drink and settle down for a quick photo swap and see each others mini snaps. The sun was starting to set and we could hear Annie Mac beginning her set, so we headed over. It was amazing neon plastic palm trees and Annie was pumping out the beats. House for the weekend had people going crazy, singing, dancing the atmosphere was electric. Than as her set drew to a close, a ton of confetti bits streamed out. That we were told it was Annie's Mac birthday and the whole crowd sung to her. It was the perfect end to the perfect day. Lovebox is on till the early hours, but we were wiped out so decided to head home. I had an amazing time and look forward to spending more time with the fashion Sept girls.

Festival Woes: I Just Want To Be Comfortable

 Festival fashion from Spartoo

So you have a festival coming up, but you want to look cool without having to actual make too much effort. Why should you have to wear something that you don't feel good in, to me it kills what a festival is actual about. So here's some outfit inspiration to keep you looking fresh and fly, while everyone around you is moaning about how they are fed up of their outfits an hour in. You can just enjoy the music, and get those important Instagram pictures to prove that comfortable can still be fashionable.

Things that will help your experience:
Even if it's just a day festival, here are some handy things to take with you. Of course if it's longer than you will need a hard wearing suitcase and loo roll. Lots of loo roll.

A Patterned Rucksack- The lifesavers, there's nothing less cool than seeing someone at a festival with half their stuff falling out of their bag. Rucksacks come in a mass of colours and prints, so let them be an added pop to your outfit. You can fit everything in them, they also double up as a headrest for if you want to chill at any point. You can also get creative and add some details to them, pom poms, patches it's up to you. Functional and fun. If their not your style, go for a bag that can be worn across the shoulder. Keeping your phone and money safe and everything is easy to hand.

Wet wipes/ Sun Screen/ Sunglasses- Because lets face it festivals are messy business, and it's nice to have the option to wipe the day glow makeup off before heading home. Or wet wiping your hands if your like me and always drop food on yourself, because your trying to eat and dance to the music. Festivals mean dancing, walking and eating in the sun so don't forget to protect your skin and eyes. Burning your skin is not big or clever, so put on some sunscreen and grab your shades. Sunglasses can be another way to add to your outfit, you can go for uber cool or maybe go for some funny silly shades. Festivals are about having a laugh so if you fancy wearing something more out there go for it.

Portable Phone charger- You can bring your camera, but no one really does that nowadays because smart phones have fancy cameras and it you can filter and upload everything straight from your phone. So don't cry into the stranger next to you when your battery runs out. Bring a portable charger and your be snap happy all day, just double check you have the connecting cable before you leave.

A light jacket or sweater- It maybe blazing hot during the day, but the evening time will probably be a little chilly. Also if it rains than at least you won't be freezing, make sure you can roll it up and it doesn't take up to much room in your bag.

Comfortable shoes- Comfortable does not have to mean boring, go for an open sandal make sure they have a strong sole your feet will thank you or a cool pair of trainers. Sliders are still a must, so grab a bright pair for slipper like comfort, with some style. Trainers are great as they add some colour and fun to any outfit, but also protect your feet if you have to do a lot of walking. I usually wear my high tops, I have a bunch in different patterns and even if I just wear them with jeans they always give your outfit some edge, plus they look really cute with a dress. Or don't forget about wellies if you know it's going to be muddy, again there are so many colourful and patterned ones now that they can really make your outfit.

What are your must haves for a festival? Do you have any tips on lifesaving tips to share?

Patterned Wellies For Under £25

All Wellies from Spartoo, and all priced under £25.

Festival season is almost upon us, and a few of you asked me about wellies. You said didn't want to spend a fortune, and wanted some jazzy ones to cheer you up on these muddy days. So I was all ready to search the whole web for a mass of choice, but I was pretty amazed when I saw that Spylovebauy have a ton of choice. Even better they also have ankle wellies, for those you who prefer the shorter option. Patterned wellies are great for  anyone looking to add a little quirk to their outfit, I mean when it's raining you may find you have to cover up that cute outfit- Sad but true, so at least your wellies will keep your look fun still.

My favourite design is the all sorts, not only because I love the sweet but I like the mix of colours and hint of black. I think they would look great even with a simple pair of jeans and band t-shirt, perfect for an easy comfortable festival look. If you're not into pattern they also have biker boot wellies, which can be really cute too. Either way when they are under £25, what's not to love. Of course there are no rules that you have to wear wellies just to festivals, living in the U.K it rains a lot so if it rains where you are too wellies are always handy to have. Are you going to any festivals? Which pattern would you go for?

If I Were At A Festival

Tropical Print Top / Beaded Choker/ Temp Fake Tattoos/ White Platform Sandals
Crocodile Sunglasses/ I Don't trust Me Vest/ Stacking Rings/ Monochrome Sandals
Floral Kimono/ Quilted Backpack/  Knee High Boots/ Red Lipstick

As it's festival season I thought I would put together a little inspirational post. Sadly as my boys are still so little, I'm missing out on the all the fun again, I think once they are a bit older I'll be able to go and enjoy some with them. So this is my 'if I was going' ideas, if it was a muddy one of course I'd have to swap up my shoes. But as this is my dreamy one I want with this fab sandals, and these Kate Moss style boots. I love pom pons, so this two piece set is beyond ideal.

If you have been following me on Instagram, you would have seen my love for stacking rings they instantly add a cool vibe to any outfit. There is no better bag than a backpack, if your walking around and trying to snap phones and drink you need a bag that won't get in the way. I would probably be a little wilder with makeup, but if your not into glitter a bold lip will keep you looking glam. I don't care what anyone says, I love fake tattoos ever if you have real ones already they are still fun it's like being a kid again (remember to leave the damp cloth on for a while, or you will end up with half of one). Are you going to any festivals? Let me live through you.
