How I Wear: A Dressed Down Maxi Dress

Coral Biker Jacket: La Redoute*
Scarf worn as belt: Vintage
Necklace: Old
Grey Maxi Dress:  Fashion Union
Trainers: Primark
Stacked Bracelets: M&S*

So yesterday the sun was blazing, but as I was taking the boys to the adventure playground in the big park I needed clothing I could move easily in. As usually if I'm wearing a maxi dress, I like a little heel but it's not practical when having to rescue my younger son out of sand pit as someone stole the climbing rope (classy). As to not be completely boring and casual, I wore my coral biker which is such a great colour and fit and is pretty light. I also used a vintage scarf as a belt as I could not find one, and throw on this tribal necklace and a couple of rings. It made for the perfect fun friendly outfit, as when you have two little ones you don't really want to wear massive heels to the park.

We are actually going to the park again today (a different one) but this time to feed the ducks, plus they will have daddy to run around after they too. So I'll probably wear sandals or my wedges, as long as there is sun and I'm with them I will be happy. I may even get my pale pins out, as I think it's safe to say I've spent a good three months moaning about not being able to wear my summer wear. So enjoy your Saturday, and lets break out those summer bits.

  2. I struggle with maxi dresses because unless I wear them with heels I have a tendency to trip over the hem..
