Pixi Beauty Spring/Summer Collection 2014

As you know I love makeup just as much as I love my shoes, I don't feel myself without a little something on my face. Pixi invited me to view their new Spring Summer collection for 2014, which includes H2o skin tint, natural brow duo, shea butter lip balm, mesmerising mineral palettes and hydrating tint sticks available in three shades. Amanda (Pixi's makeup artist) created a soft dewy spring look using one of the eye palettes, with the greens both on the lid and under on the waterline using a shimmer eyeliner.  Strong brows, a light blush and flawless glowing dewy skin has really inspired me to strip my makeup back this summer. Amanda makes it look so simple, but yet the look is so pretty and one I will be trying. I swatch the shadows from one of the palettes, just to show you how pigmented they are and you can see how the baed shadow looks in more detail.

I do love my brows looking sharp and fixed, so this duo is great for creating that perfect brow. One end houses a waterproof brow pencil with angled tip for precise & natural-looking application. While at the other you have a soft brush, which has the tinted soft hold gel for keeping the brow in place. The nail polishes are just dreamy, I will be buying the Lime Lustre which is like mermaid shimmer in a bottle. If you have never tried these polishes they are really good. I have a few and they are long lasting and the colours are vivid and apply well.

My favourite product were the lip balms, the colours were just up my street. They have shea butter in which is so good for your skin offering a silky, but healing balm that protects and nourishes your lips. The colours are pigmented, I though it would be more of a light tint, but the colour was deeper which I love. The packaging is simple and it just twists up, and the lip covers the whole thing so great for on the go. I'm all about good traveling makeup.

I really loved the H2o skin tint, it's really light and has a gel texture and makes your skin feel instantly hydrating. The only down side I would say is that it only comes in three shades, I think if they developed more shades (like a lot of other beauty brands should) as their is a lack of shades for darker skin. I know this pretty much goes for the beauty industry and it's something I hope companies start considering more. Apart from that this skin tint is a nice change from a heavy foundation, and leaves the skin glowing. It's really great for the skin containing deep sea water, rose water, camellia extract, and lavender extract to treat & protect skin. Overall I loved this collection and the product pay off is great, pricing is pretty good as well and packing is practical yet pretty.

Most of this collection is now available online and in store, and can also be purchased at ASOS, Beauty Bay and Feel Unique.
