Schwarzkopf Live Lab Event

I didn't really know what to except at the live lab event, so when I got to the Schwarzkopf academy it was a great surprise to see live 'doll' models and that we would be given a insight into the science of the hair colour. I always enjoyed science at school, and it's not something you really think or associate when buying hair products. We were  giving a talk and a Q&A from Matthias Schweinsberg who just so happens to be head of Research and Development for Schwarzkopf, he give some really good advice.

I found it really interesting to learn about colours to some have smaller particles which effects the time the colour will last and how it takes to your hair. Of course my hair is bleached so the pores of my hair are open and will take in my colour, at the same time this is why I should take care to not fry it and to try to get moisture back into it. There new colour range has been improved to give deep block colour, meaning it won't fade as fast and the colour stays vibrant. Of course it works better on light hair, so if your blonde or don't mind bleaching these colours are amazing and worth a try.

We also had our hair styled with extensions in the new colour range the colour XXL HD (extra vibrant), I went for the new Electric blue colour. It's crazy how much you can change the your look just with a few hair with extensions, I loved the faux fringe which was cut from a long extension - Pop a scarf or hand band over to cover the joint. Ashly went for the red and we were both embracing our new do's, this is perfect if you don't want to bleach your hair and just want a temp look. Also the HD Brow team were there and gave me a talk of how to get the perfect natural looking brow with their brow kit (review coming soon). It was a great event and I'm going to be trying out the new hair colours in my actual hair soon, as the colours are intense and you lot know by now how much I love to change my hair colour.

  7. I can think of nobody better to be off to a hair colour lab, I do so love your ever changing hair colour. I only wish I was as bold, think my boss would have a fit if I went to work with pink hair, even though I totally wish I could.
