For the 'flawless friends second meet, Witch skin care decided on the Soho Hotel which just happens to be so well designed I was stroking the wallpaper. We were also joined by Donna Dawson who is a well know psychologist, and annoy aunt to chat with us about confidences. We chatted about everything, how we affect each others body image, how blogging can both boost and sometimes lower your self esteem. Also how our skin effects how we feel, I think everyone has experience that having 'somewhere nice' to go and than discovering they have a huge spot/pimple.
That feeling that everyone will be staring, when in reality no one cares. That to you it feels like, it's taking over your face. For the rest of the world, they wouldn't have noticed if you hadn't pointed it out a billion times. Donna also spoke about peoples first impression of one another, and how a first meeting can have a massive impact on your 'relationship' with that person.
Yummy cakes for us to nibble as we chatted
Annie and Sarah
It was so great to be with all the girls, the fabulous twins Shope and Shore looked amazing as always and it was great to hear about how they feel about blogging. I saw my babe Gemma, who wrote THIS lovely post about me which had me crying. Sarah from 'a million dresses' had on thee most stunning sequin skirt and made great points during the chat about the blog community. She spoke about how she's found friends, and I think everyone thought that was one of the best things about the blogging community. I forget to ask Claire where her leopard print pumps from! I finally got to chat with Annie, as last time she had to leave early - utter sweetie by the way.
Someone who always puts a smile on my face is Sarah V, we chatted about what a great job Witch had done. We were talking about pressures from the media, and how this impacts on peoples confidence. We all really enjoyed it. When it comes to your skin you have to have a good skin care routine, but more importantly you need to have Confidences. If your smiling and open people will forget about your skin, no matter how good or bad it maybe. It's taken me a long time, but I'm happy with my skin it's a small part of who I am and if people can't get pass it that's up to them. I had a wonderful day with the Witch skin care team, they understand how skin can effect your esteem and are working to create products to give you skin you can be proud of.
How do you feel about your skin? Has a blemish ever stopped you from doing something?
