Matalan Christmas Collection 2012

Ho, Ho, Ho it's Christmas, no wait hung on it's only July but in retail world summer is already over.   Before you know it snow will be on the ground or the grey slush we call snow here in London, and everyone will be gearing up for Fashion week again. For us mere mortals who can't afford couture, or even designer for that matter turn to the high street for all the catwalk looks with out the catwalk price. One being Matalan, who like I said from their Autumn press day are really amping up their game.

This was their Christmas collection and it delivery, like Santa! Only if Santa knows that what we want this Christmas is, party footwear we can wear after the party, a bag we can fit Rudolph in that's edgy, and an outfit that really jingles our bells. Arriving I met my blog buddy Becca from Fashion Train, and we couldn't wait to see if Matalan had filled our stockings with glitter or an orange!

Denim shirt: Primark via charity shop
Leather look waistcoat & Boots: Clothing at Tesco *
Belt:Primark
Skirt: H&M
Bag: Charity shop

Becca modelling the white studded biker jacket that we are both in love with -£35

Of course it was GLITTER! With studs on bags, shoes and jackets, I was already making out my list to Santa, you know the one 'I'll have that, that and that. Oh I didn't see that one'. So more is more in terms of dress this Christmas, and it's up to you which trend you want to rock this year from ladylike, to goth romance or maybe go for a classic sequin number.

This collection had a great wear it now feel, and I think that most of you will be wearing it before you have even gone shopping for presents for others. Well a little pre Christmas treat never hurt anybody, and another thing that I adore are Matalan prices! Like seriously £8 for a stunning detailed clutch, even £35 for a must have leather look biker jacket- they have a black version that will be in store soon, which have a panel detail. They also have the white leather look jacket, with stud detail which I'm already sold on.

The footwear offer's boots, flats and heels, all lush worthy and again so affordable I also love that they had the sparkle heels in both black and mink and the boots in different colour's too -It's great to have the option, rather than thinking 'if only this was in black etc..'  I really loved the clutches, which seemed to be the main bag to be seen with for the party season, studded, plain or a cute little horse bag- Want, need!

Clare and I having photo booth fun. Mary's top and earrings - had to get a snap so pretty. Charlotte from Matalan with Becca

Can't wait again for this collection to hit stores, some of the A/W collection is online already so just click in new arrivals and pieces will be slowly introduced in the lead up to Christmas. I had a great day with BeccaGemmaMary, and Clare we had a full on day but it was great fun. I will be posting the rest of the events as soon as I can, anyway I just like to say a HUGE thank you to Matalan for having us and I can not wait to get my mitts on this collection.

I am working on a video, that I still need to edit but I will add it in soon.
