French Connection Press Day S/S 2012

So a while back I attended the French Connection press day S/S 2012 , I had to wait until I could share it with you which has been killing me. I really enjoyed this collection, from the colours to all the details from sequins to the lace and fringe. The accessorise did not disappoint either, they were super chic clean with very simple detail like the orange bag above. This would complete any outfit for summer, and it's the perfect size to go from work to home, and would be the perfect carry on for your holiday.

Texture is a huge part of the collection, along with print to turn a simple white dress into ladylike glam the colours were amazing too I loved the mix of orange and green's. Plus the flower graphic print on these tops was stunning, and very much had a through and go feel to them (great for you jeans and a tee girls).

These dresses and jackets really took me back, at first I thought they were studs on the black shift dress but the detail is crazy beautiful. The sequins on the jacket had a fish scale feel to them, underwater has been huge on the catwalk for S/S so this is such a great way to include the trend in your wardrobe without looking like the little mermaid. The cut of these pale dresses were so graceful, I could see this on most girls for a hot evening out you could tell them would look flawless in movement because of the light fabric (again sheer is a huge deal this S/S).

Than there was a more relaxed feel, a folk 70's kind of feel, not as heavy as we have seen in past years this had a couple of detailed dresses and tops. I adored the white maxi dress, it had a simple trim just at the bottom again clean and chic (note to self you will need a mega wedge if you are short like me). Than it was an explosion of block colour, I adored the cobalt blue against the orange again very simple but so easy to create a really killer look for summer.

I loved these bracelets, they also had coral like necklaces in a chill red and sliver tribal chunky pieces. I really enjoyed the collection, and as always French Connection has a way of bringing the chic and clean fresh cuts that we see on the catwalk to our high street. I think out of the whole collection the dresses will sell out and the fish scale (style) jacket, I had to keep myself from 'borrowing' them (I joke). Anyway thank you to French Connection, we (Me, Katy & Faye) even got our hair styled which was a lovely treat and a nice beach bag (which I have already worn to death). This collection will be hitting stores and online very soon.
