It was a crazy hot day, and I had a suitcase filled with shoes and accessorise as I made my way across London for my shoot with CageCity I didn't know what to except and was excited to met Nadine the brains behind the brand. If you have not heard of them a) where have you been living? b) seriously where have you been living. CageCity is like the U.K's Nasty Gal, only I would say Cage is more raw she's less about being a Tumblr queen and more ' I'm fierce, smart and sexy so deal with it'.

I met the team and than it was time for me to start styling my own shoot, they have so many great designers (lots of up and coming) and carry a lot of funky, quirky brands. I'm not the most confident person when it comes to my body, but any worries melted away as I slipped on each piece. I felt sassy, and I was having a blast with the team styling up looks. Being a mum of two young boys sometimes means I have to dress more practical, but this shoot was about me so it was great to wear things a little more daring. I'm really happy with the outcome, it was so much fun and while I'm not the best behind the camera I loved, loved styling I would love to do it as a job (I know it's hard work, but I love the whole creative process it's so rewarding seeing it come together).

Anyway I also did an interview with them which you can watch here. I forget to mention a heap of other artists that give me inspiration, but if your a regular reader I think you know who inspires me. I think over all the shoot had a 90s vibe, I was saying to the Nadine I feel like growing up as a teen in hand me downs I'm reliving it the way I would have wanted to dress. I use to flick through J-17 and see the all these girls looking amazing, I never dreamed that I would ever get to experience anything like that. This is why I love blogging, it means us so called average gals can inspire to. To show girls that being you is the best you can be. I had a great day and will treasure these photos, thanks to Nadine and the team at Cagecity I had a blast.
