When I was thirteen, I really started to get into music by myself rather than listening to what my mum had or thought I should listen too (saying that she had a heap of David Bowie, T-rex, and other iconic peeps in her Vinyl collection). I remember the first album I wanted to buy on tape, back before we got all space age with CD's. More than anything, I wanted no needed Nevermind by Nirvana. I planned to grow up, get boobies and marry Kurt Cobain. Before the days of google, you had to read or be told stuff to find out about the world. My aunt who actual saw them record the unplugged session album (not bitter much), broke the news to me gentle 'His dead sweetie sorry'. A guy I had been dreaming of for months, was no longer here. I cried for a week.
What album rocked your world as a teen? Also were there any things you discovery about the singer/band that made you laugh/cry/vomit? So yeah here's my modern day twist on settle grunge, oversized denim jacket check, worn out Converse check. Okay so maybe the fluffy jumper and holographic skirt would be a no no, but hey I don't care. Nevermind ....
Holographic skirt!!! Wowzer, that is so cool!

You have such an individual style, I love it! I definitely loved Nirvanas Nevermind album and in fact all of their albums if I'm honest. As a teenager my all time favourite album was Toxicity by System of a Down, I would have been about 16. At the time it was the most stand out music I had ever heard. Until then I had just listen to classic rock'n'roll, grunge and a bit of good old 90s pop (holla Spice Girls). I remember just sitting in my room on the floor absolutely transfixed by the absurd sound that was coming out of my sound system and I knew right at that moment that I would spend many years to come chasing that same feeling of finding something so completely unique to my ever before experienced music and I've succeded pretty well so far. In saying that I still listen to SOAD on a very regular basis, haha.
