How I Wear: A Crop Top (Starry Eyed)

Happy 4th of July peeps even if it's kinda over, I thought it would be rude not to wear my stars and stripes today. I think like most kids in the U.K, most of what I watched growing up was American based (not everything). Who could forget the first airing of Ross and Rachel's kiss! This was before Friends was played every second of the day, and you had to wait till the following week. I watched 'Clarissa Explains It All' at my mates house, as we were povo and my mum barley could afford our television.

I use to practice my American accent, yep * flicks hair I was that cool. Moving on from that, I think I learned a lot from  some of the shows. In the U.K your told if you can get any job your lucky, don't dream just get on with it. Were as in the U.S.A they dream big, and it's encouraged I know not everywhere but the attitude is very you can do it. Back in the day if you said 'I want to be a singer' (before all the reality shows) people would laugh in your face. On to my outfit, as I've worn this three times already (only had it just over a week) I thought I would include it in my 'how I wear' as I don't know about you, but all the inspiration for wearing crop tops is just the top and shorts. I don't have a toned midriff, but there's no rule that says you have to have your belly out. So I'm trying to over come my midriff woes and find ways of styling it and I've already got around five other ideas so I'll let you judge away.

Shirt: Primark
Skirt: Charity shop

I have new glasses sorry but this is exciting news (I'm simple), I don't tend to wear glasses in my outfits because my camera is just a compact and otherwise the light and reflections just bounce off them. Also my other glasses are so boring, or more I've had them so long I'm sick of the sight of them (sorry about the pun). These are so kooky, I'm a massive fan of the film Ghost World and they just remind me of what Enid would wear. If you have never watched that film, it's based on the comic and it's strangely beautiful. I need to give my creepers a break, I've worn them all this week and last they just go with everything. So hope you 'had a good day' *puts on ' American' accent.
