Highly Polished

I can't get enough of smoothing, polish products at the moment there is no greater feeling than giving dull winter skin a lift. So my go to products are AVEDA smoothing body polish, and Lush Angels on bare skin for face both are so great for getting rid of all those dead skin cells, but without leaving your skin red raw. I do like winter, but my skin has other ideas it loses all glow and just looks grey and I always get the 'Are you feeling okay?' which always makes me feel like a million bucks. My skin get's dry, so if your an oily girl I don't think these will work for you (sorry) also I'm a sensitive soul and don't like using harsh polishes/scrubs on my skin.

Angels on Bare Skin is a must have cleanser for if you have dry skin, you take a pea sized piece and mix with water and mush it in your palm. I love the smell to I use this every morning, and as soon as it hit's my skin I feel so much better. I love that the almonds gentle scrub, and at the same time leave your skin so smooth and soft. I like that if I am in a rush applying makeup, you can easy skip primer and you still have a great base. It's also nice to hear Barry (my bloke) say that my face smells nice, trust me some products I have used he has said stink, so it's nice to know that if someone is near you won't scare them off with a smelly face.

You don't need a heap of this product, so a pot will last you a good while. Plus if you take back black pots, you get a free face mask (I think they are still doing this, but check with your local store before demanding one). If not you can always keep the pot for something else, I use a lot of the lush pots in my 'travel kit' .If you wash out a few and keep them in your bathroom, it saves you having to buy mini shower gel or shampoo (keep the mini bottles) or you can use them for stud earrings etc .....

Anyway Angels is £5.95 per pot, and soon I'm going to try out Dark Angels so I promise I will post a review for it if I do.

'Angels on Bare Skin evens out skin tone, reduces redness and improves the health and appearance of your skin – giving a natural healthy glow.
The ground almonds in this product release their goodness and turn to an almond milk on your hand when you add water.
Almond milk has been used in many parts of the world for centuries as a toning and brightening ingredient.
We have mixed this with kaolin, to absorb grease and gently cleanse, vegetable glycerine to soften and moisturise the skin and a beautiful blend of essential oils, all chosen for their abilities to balance and tone the skin.'

c/o Earth Salon

I got given this at the Earth Salon event and it is amazing, when I saw the word 'polish' my first reaction was okay thats going to leave me with a rash, but than I know AVEDA is a great brand. It's actual really gentle and the exfoliant inside is so fine that it does not feel harsh at all. When the pieces in a scrub are larger, you usually fine it's not great for if your sensitive or have dry skin a finer scrub seems more gentle on the skin. I really like the smell of this too, it just smells clean and spa like (okay that sounds crazy) it's not floral or fruity. I do like products that have a heavy scent, but sometimes when your wearing a perfume or a nice scented body lotion it can be overwhelming so this is perfect. You don't need a lot and it has a thick texture to it like a shower gel, I love using it around my shoulders and collar bones I think it would be lush to use come summer ....Maybe good for pre fake tan. Anyway I really love it, and it is a tad pricey at 8.5 oz/250 ml - £23.00 Price per 100 ml: £9.20. But yes I adore it.
