As you can tell from the lack of posts I've been ill and not been able to do much at all. So it feels great to be back in a routine with the kids, getting dressed (I've been throwing on whatever not very glam) eating a proper meal and of course blogging. As you know I love jumpers and sweaters, even more so when they are vintage. Vintage jumpers always have more detail, the 80s were all about more is more and I'm all for that. I think when you hear Christmas jumper a lot of people go for the novelty approach, which are great fun.
I really like the glitzy sparkly, a little tacky (but in the best way) heavy details jumpers. I think seeing my mum and aunties in them at Christmas with chunky gold earrings, perms and shimmer lippy stuck with me. Perms aside they were spot on, they are so easy to style and more importantly they are warm. They really is no reason to freeze to look good. This year my all time favourite vintage haven Beyond retro are supporting Save the Children's Christmas Jumper Day on December 12th. They have pledged to sell 10,000 Christmas jumpers, donating £1 from every jumper sold to Save the Children. So if you are looking for that jazzy jumper, novelty knit or maybe to wrap up and put under the tree for someone else to enjoy than check out their online stash. As I said vintage jumpers are the best for detail, and won't cost you the earth.
If you a vintage fan than why not get involved in their competition to win a £250 Beyond Retro voucher: To take part, simply feature your Beyond Retro Christmas jumper in an outfit post on your blog and the more inventive you get with your Christmas sweater the better! The best outfit post will be declared the #xmasjumperstylechallenge winner will be contacted after the competition closes on December 14th.
