The Wolf Of Wall Street ( & A Giveaway)

When the Wolf of Wall street first came out, I thought oh here we go another boring film about a stock-broker and I dismissed the hype. Than when I finally caved in, I realised that it was anything but boring. It reminded me of Blow as this is also based on a true story, and shows how sometimes being a self made man can go to your head and ultimately cost you every thing you have worked for. Jordan Belfort (played by Leonardo DiCaprio) is from Long Island and has big dreams, he becomes all consumed by making his dreams reality no matter the cost. Soon his living the high life, and were taking on his journey of money, women and drugs. Lots and lots of drugs.

Margot Robbie plays Naomi Lapaglia, the beautiful second wife of Jordan Belfort (played by Leonardo DiCaprio) and this is where the film got even more interesting from me. Not only is she a fire cracker, but her 80s glamorous style will have you typing in '80's dresses' faster than you can say sassy.  Even when she becomes a mother, she still wears her flashy dresses that pack a style punch. From the pink Azzedine Alaïa to the beaded Versace gown, Naomi is every inch a powerhouse of perfection. This film has a great cast of strong actors that really carry the story and will have you laughing through out. It's funny, distasteful, loveable and by the end your left knowing that even after his rise and fall Jordan Belford will pick him self up and start again. (so a nicer ending than in Blow). Not one you will want to watch with the parents, but worth a watch for the car scene alone.

  1. Great giveaway! I loved watching Wolf of wall street, although I think they should have really cut it by half an hour, I'm not a fan of long movies!
