Model Own Sun Hat*
As I said last week, I have had a bit of luck lately and won a few competitions on twitter so I thought I would review some of the bits and bobs I won. I was the very lucky winner, of the brand new nail polish for tans collection by Models Own. I had seen them on Instagram and knew I had to have them, I was waiting till I had enough money for the set but than when they said I was one of the lucky ten I was made up. So are they worth the hype, and how are they different from other neons they have released before.
Firstly the shades are so pretty, and as they are neon you would think they would clash more. Because these are more like a subtle neon, they really sit well together. As the name states 'for tans' this nail polish is perfect for summer, and even without a tan they look fresh, bright and fruity. They apply well, and with two coats you get full coverage. I've found that like most of the Models Own collection, the polish is long lasting and I've not seen much wear or chips yet.
They have a semi matt finish, but I actual prefer this than a glossy coat as the colour really pops but without looking tacky. I think the gloss would take away from the colour. I prefer these to their other neons as like I said they are a little more subtle (still neon even more than in my photos). I think my favourite is Sun Hat, it's a Barbie pink and I'm a sucker for a really bold pink polish it's so girly. I think all of the shades work well, either on their own or mixed up together. I'd say the one that I liked the least is Bikini, it's a great colour but as I'm pale I think it looks odd on my skin. I think I'll wear it with the others to break the colour up. If your not into bold polish these are not for you, but if you love a pop of colour and something more beach worthy than I would recommend these. I think they would look amazing with some nail art on top, and if I have time I'll do a summer how to nail look with them. They are £5 each or you can mix and match any 6 polishes for £20.

Gahh you're so lucky to have won this, I'm desperate for this collection! I think my favourite is 'Beach Bag' :) xx
