Me and Barry (my bloke) were in Lush, and I bumped into Hilmar a guy I worked with when I was at Regent street. He is the manager at Covent Garden Lush now so we had a quick caught up it's been a couple of years, and he had something to show me. They are running a scent experience, there is a room in the back of the branch with headphones and one of the Gorilla Perfume ranges. The current one is ' The Smell Of Weather Turning' I went to smell it, but Hilmar said to sit down and put on the headphones and close our eyes.
Me and Barry were unsure but gave it a go, the music played the sound of a storm. Hilmar said to picture waking up and going to the window, you opened the window and you smell the fresh air and the grass, unknowingly relaxed we both were inhaling the perfume and I have to say it did smell like going outside in a field when it had stopped raining. It was a surprise that the smell was so intoxicating , and combine with the music for a moment I had left the room. We both tried the scent after and it smelt sweeter on me and earthy on Barry, anyway they will be doing a different scent each time so go check it out. We both kept smelling each others arms all the way home, we must have looked a little crazy, but it's a really unusual but addictive scent.
What Lush say about it:
The fragrance plays a trick of staging a thunderstorm in reverse. It opens with the fresh feeling of rain on greenery after the clouds have passed and develops a darker, smokier character as it warms on your skin. In the final stages, the smell of sweet hay and woods comes through. It feels like walking on sun-baked fields and through an ancient, summery forest.
I will be reviewing them soon, I just want to use it a little while to give you a better review of how me and Barry found the solid ones. They do it in bottles too.
Like I said there are a range of sizes you can get these in, and they have a huge range of scents you can find here.
I got two of the solid perfumes so expect a review soon, me and Barry have one each so it will be on a female and male perspective of them. I also got a few other bits that I can show you some you have seen before in my other hauls, I will be heading back to Lush soon for a face mask and some goodies for my feet well it will be sandal season very soon
( unpolished feet are so ...well never, your feet are hugely important and often get forgotten).
If you missed yesterdays post here is what I wore and a closer look and my gem nails, I just took normal craft flat back gems and glued them on. I was bored and listening to Lady Gaga, so I think it may have inspired them a bit.
Nail polish: Eyeko
Gems: EBay
Anyway as I have just looked at my readers count, I want to say a huge thank you so I will be having a giveaway very, very soon :)
