I was about to say Spring is around the corner, which it is but looking out my window today it's snowing in London (well it was for all of 30 minutes). But anyway there is still plenty, in Nasty Gal's Spring summer collection to wear now. Rainbows, sequins and cow boy vibes are going to breath some life back into your wardrobe. This is a mere snippet of the collection, but these were pieces that really stood out to me. I already bagged the pot of gold rainbow top above, I swear 20% but really didn't even need any encouragement to buy it. I also can't believe how fast this collection is hitting the site already. They have a bunch of discount days going on, so if your like me and can't afford to go on a spree you can still bag a little bargain. So if your looking for some pieces for Spring, or you want to add a splash of fun to your wardrobe now you are going to love this collection.

Primark | Spring Summer 2017 Collection

While you know I'm a thrifty charity shop gal at heart, I still struggle every now hunting down perfect pieces to add to my wardrobe. I'll put my hands up and say, of course I like a little bit of trend pieces in my wardrobe sometimes it's nice to mix it up. The thing I love about Primark is that while pieces are still trend lead, they tend to still keep a mix that whatever your style you can get on board with. If you're on the tiniest budget, you can still add a couple of must have pieces without the fear of having to eat baked beans on toast. So what offerings do Primark have for you this season, and what can you find in store now.

Next Christmas 2016 Press Day

Christmas this years seems to have come out of nowhere, like a beautiful jolly slap to the face. This year hasn't been the best, so when someone says 'hey want to see a new collection' I'm on it quicker than a cat on the Christmas tree. Emma and I jumped on the tube, excited to see how they were styling this seasons trends. Next have come a long way over the years, once more of a brand classic that all the cool mums shopped in. It's taking more risks when it comes to collections. While there is inspiration taking from the catwalk walks, I can't help but feel they've also been looking more at street style and how over the years their customers are wanting a bit more sass in their lives.

Boohoo Autumn/Winter15 #boohooAW15

Okay so there's still the odd sunny day in London, but let's face facts it's autumn and that means it's going to start getting chilly. But if the thought of having to bulk on clothing is making you sad, than Boohoo's new autumn winter collection may put a smile back on your face. As again they have produced a collection that really channels the trends on a budget. If your thinking of having of overhauling your wardrobe, or simple just want to add a couple of pieces to take you from your summer one they have made it easy. 

Layering is a must, but not in a way you're maybe use too. Layering a polo-neck, turtle neck or a roll-neck ... any top that covers your neck under a dress will be the hero of your winter woes wardrobe.  You can go for a retro vibe with some graphic button down skirt, if your not feeling a dress. There was a real mix, a rainbow bodycon dress stole the show for me, but I also loved a cute denim dress (yes another one to add to my collection I think). There was a lot of 60s and 70s influence, which I couldn't get enough of. I also really loved a round black faux fur handbag and a pair of black boots which had a little cowboy buckle detail.

Boohoo always has something for any budget and does some quality investment pieces, the coats this season will not disappoint. A camel coat with faux fur trim on both the collar and wrists, looks like it fell out of Penny Lanes wardrobe in Almost Famous. With fringed bags to finish the look, I can already see everyone embracing their inner hippy. Some pieces are already online, you can always tweet them if your having trouble.

New Look A/W15 Collection

As I reached for my cardigan this morning, I thought that it was the perfect time to share New Look's Autumn/Winter15 collection. I knew that the 70s would have a big influence this season, so was really excited to see New Looks take on it and see what else they were offering. The first thing that really caught my eye was the jewellery, feather earrings, chunky bracelets and tassel necklaces yes please. 

I love more is more, but there were also some more minimal structured pieces for anyone who likes to keep that clean aesthetic. There was a fresh take on classic 70s detail, in black and white monochrome pieces. A simple LBD with eyelets down the arm, is the new classic. My mind drifts on how many ways I could style it, but than I spot a black faux fur jacket and ask myself which jacket will I have to ditch to make room for this beauty.   

Think Jackie Brown, Charles Angels and Stevie Nicks hanging at your local coffee shop (I wish) this collection is a strong mix of sassy meets everyday. It's not about being sexy, it's about confident control and this is why the 60s and 70s were a great time for women's fashion. I love the mix of glitzy knits, with pleather mini skirts and matching trench coat I think I may need this so I can pretend I'm a secret agent while doing the school run. 

It's a subtle slap of femme fatale and I honestly can't get enough. It's so easy to get retro wrong, for it to look more costume than clothing, and New Look have a achieved a great collection that can see pieces mixed in with the modern wardrobe. There were killer platforms that made my eyes water, I can't do massive heels but if you can your going to be happy with these night fever style beauties. There were some platform boots, that I may have to brave but plenty of flats if heels are not an option. This A/W collection has a lot to offer, as someone who is forever hunting vintage pieces it's great to be able to add to them from the high-street as well. This collection has already starting rolling out in stores.

Primark A/W15 Collection

Usually at press days I'm not sure where to begin, and even at the event I try and edit what I would actual put on here rather than just filling my camera. As great as some collections are, no one wants to spend five days scrolling through one post. I was shocked, well no actual more utterly gobsmacked when I arrived at Primark's A/W 15 press day to see one collection there. Part of me was a little scared as what if I got in closer and there was literally nothing I would like. But as I made my way down to the back, my eye's began to dart with delight. On first glances I would have said there was nothing for me, but my eyeballs caught a glimpse of faux fur and than a lace blouse with bell selves. It was held in the Elms Lesters painting rooms in London, so I really liked the abstract layout also as sometimes having to take it turns to get to a rail can kind of take away from what your looking at. 

Of course Primark will have more in store come August- Fear not quirky t-shirt lovers, but it was actual refreshing to walk in and see some of what will be in store rather than ram our brains with so much that you can't take in anything. While not everything appealed to me personal I did spot some amazing pieces, pieces I know you will be elbowing each other out the way for. Who could blame you at £14 for a pair of sparkle brogues!

My eyes were drawn to the faux fur coat (pictured above), which to me could have fallen off the back of Margot Tenenbaum correct me if I'm wrong but of course I'm not so lets throw that on the want list now. Did I mention that it will set you back £35.00, I know right *throws money at Primark now and cries into the soft faux fur goodness. 

Than there was a super cute pinafore, which you could style long into 2016. Did I mention the pom pom flat shoes, I mean this is Primark like we have never seen it before. For a collection not is not very me, I still want at least five pieces. This collection is like Alexa Chung and Florence Welsh got together, pulled all their favourite pieces it's literally understated brilliance. The collection turned out to be snippets of four collections when I got home and looked at the look book - With the band, Frontier, Dark victoriana and Fitzrovia. Either way, it worked.

A mix of 60s and 70s pieces are always going to be the type of staples you need in your wardrobe. Vintage vibes are never far out of fashion, but this Autumn winter it's time to really embrace these eras as they aren't going anyway. Personally I love a mix of the real deal and some high street.
