Picture This #14 Bits & Bobs

Flowers from the witch skincare team
All my Company magazines and halloween skull from ASDA
Trunk made by Barry, table cloth from the charity shop, my fashion books
My perspex lamp* and photo of Corben as a bub

As I have two young boys most of our place is messy, no matter how much I tidy up there's always toys everywhere, a little yoghurt hand print on either the sofa or the wall. But of course I'm not going to show you all the messy bits, lets face it no one wants to see that not even me. Instead I thought I would share the nice looking things ha ha, one is my new lamp. It's a little space age, but I'm really into mixing vintage with modern. I hope in the new year to improve our place, a lick of paint can go along way and transform a space. I'll be having a mass clear out of junk, so I can make room for new pretty things. It can be hard sometimes when you only have a certain amount of money, so buying things bit by bit can be the best way. Over time you can really make a difference, and it will come together for a nice space.

I think pinterest is such a great way to find some inspiration,  I know a lot of you have moved places or like me just want a revamp. I also bookmark D.I.Y projects for the home on blogs, craft sites etc... With the sales around the corner it's the perfect time to make the most of your place, so slowly I want to makeover our place. Which room would you makeover?

Picture This #13 Lately

Corben's 4th birthday- So my baby turned 4! I'm not sure where the time has gone, but it's great to see him grow and change as a person. We spent time with family and friends, and Corben enjoyed eating cake, opening presents and having all the attention (who wouldn't). His even been nicer to his little brother Logan this week, and they have been playing together a lot more.

Converse Collection- To say I love Converse is putting it lightly, I guess you could say I collect them but unlike same I wear the hell out of mine. My fly pair were the first pair I ever owned, they must be at least seven/eight years old. The newest pair to join my collection are the Superman high tops, I don't mine low tops but high tops are far more comfortable. I have about five pairs now, so it's not massive but they are all well loved.

Bye Summer- This is my sunflower Roger, he came from a gag gift Barry gave me for Christmas. His a little small as I planted him very late so he bloomed later too. His  started to curl in now as it's getting colder. It's been hard to say goodbye to summer this year, as I've really enjoyed it.

A Good Book- I'm making more effort to read more, not magazines as they only have short articles. So I've been sorting through my books, I actual have some really good reads that I forget I ever bought. As I'm dyslexic I find it really hard to get from start to end with anything over four pages, I hope to at least finish one. I picked some funny reads as I've been stressed lately, and that's nothing like a good belly laugh that won't cure my poor aching brain.

Picture This #11 (Life At Home)

Everything has been so busy lately, not sure why. Do you get that? Where your rushed off your feet, but when you think about what you have been doing your mind goes blank because it's all just boring everyday stuff. Maybe it's just me.
I really want to make some more cakes and get more creative with them, the ones I have made have been tasty but really dull looking. I want to make some pretty but tasty cupcakes, and biscuits, as it is good fun and I like to photograph them.

My boys are getting massive! Corben is just growing out of everything, so I think I need to start shopping for some cool treads for him this summer. As for Logan he is now almost 4 months old, it's crazy how big he is getting and fast his developing I think he will be leaving home soon. Okay not that fast, but trust me it still feels like only yesterday I was moaning about being pregnant, with all it's wonderful side effects (yeah don't miss heartburn and that). I'm on a D.I.Y roll so sorry if they are not mind blowing, I'm just having fun again being creative. I'm also working on some reviews (beauty bits), and as you all loved the nail art 'how to' so much I will try and do some more. Anyway hope you are having a fab week and hello new readers! Not long before I can launch my giveaway, I can't wait.

Cupcake attempted, Logan is now almost 4 months,
D.I.Y fun, LOOK lipstick review, Corben trying on mummy's sunglasses,
WAH book great for nail inspiration.

Picture This #10 (Window Shopping At Easter)

So these were from the other day when I was out shopping, as I said in my other post I didn't really see much that I felt I needed to buy (pretty things, but not enough to temp me). I did see heaps of lovely displays, I didn't snap them all but here is some I did snap  when shopping at Carnaby street .....

Illamasqua display, is of the new collection Human Fundamentalism collection it has a great Frida Carlo feel to it. I love their palette's for this collection, and when my shadows run low I think I will have to purchase one.  Puma, have a London calling theme going on in their displays and had these amazing 3D telephone boxes covering their shop front. I adore the huge skull (skull addict), that of course is Cheap Mondays trademark and makes for such a clean, yet punchy display.

Finally took a visit to the new Monki store (dream come true) and have added lots of things to my wish list, as my wardrobe is overflowing at the moment. Their displays and the store is so cool, in true Monki style their models have disco ball's for heads, and I wish I could have got snaps inside as it's so cool. Lastly I spotted a few Egg's which was part of the big London hunt (such a great idea). The bottom one was outside MAC store and I would have gladly taken it home. So until next time, hope you have had a chocolate filled Easter and oh a huge THANK YOU to the gorgeous Kim who featured me on her blog Sweet Monday xx

Picture This #9 (Mother's Day)

So like I said I had a lovely mother's day even if it was freezing, and so I didn't get all the photos I wanted as my hands were ready to drop off. I think in Summer I will have heaps more of the 'Picture this' feature on my blog, as not only will my hands be warm but also there is always fun things going on. Here are the ones I did take anyway, with my numb hands ..

Pizza goodness at Pizza express, I really love their pizza as other pizza places are so greasy and leave me feeling ill. Me and mum went for the American, I got the 'healthier' one which basically has a hole in the middle that they fill with salad. It was very tasty hole or no hole. Logan bless him, slept most of the day he is such a lump and is now 7 weeks.

I really must not buy anymore bags or anything else for that matter, but check out this display at Accessorize  from their bags to their footwear they have me drooling over their windows. I got a really cute ring that I'm sure you will see in a blog outfit soon, but yes trying to be good but seeing all the S/S collections makes it near impossible. I do love More London, you only have to look around and there's inspiration bursting from the builds to the coffee shops. I love the fountains that are in the area, it's so great in summer the kids run in and out of them and it's such a chilled place.

So I can't believe how many readers I have! Thank you so much and I can not wait to launch my giveaway, you lot are amazing and I have some other things planned for summer for you lovely lot. Anyway now have a cold, yes fun times so going to be blog reading with hot cups of tea this week.

Picture This #9 (Christmas)

Models Own nail polish (smash up set)
Corben with his beloved Elmo
Corben and Barry in nanny's garden
Barry's monster slippers c/o my mum
The cute crackers we had, that contained thee worst gifts know to man

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas, I had a great time spending time with Barry and Corben. I know last year I did a present post, but I'm not doing it this year I got some lovely gifts. Barry got me a huge makeup station trolley, some shoes and other things I have to say I adore my presents, but after such a rough year being with Corben and Barry is what I really wanted. I have 2 weeks to go before our boy is due, so I'm just making the most of my time with Corben.
It's going to be so strange having a new born again, and all I'm worried about is not getting time with Corben ..He is such an amazing little being, and I love him to bits. I think he is aware something BIG is coming, but not sure what (he knows about baby, but to him it's just mummy's tummy looking like a balloon). Anyway we had a yummy Christmas dinner and enjoyed Boxing day with Barry's family. It was lovely to see everyone and as Barry has three brothers and one sister, who all have kids Corben had all his cousins to play with. It's nice because were it's so cold and Christmas, he hasn't been playgroup in forever I think it's good for him to play with other kids.

Anyway I hope you had a nice time with whoever you spent yours with and whatever you got. I also hope that if you felt lonely you used the numbers in the last post, I think this is always a hard time of year and now we have New years too .... Any how my new years will be spent in watching classic films (Heathers, Pretty in Pink) and drinking hot chocolate, yep totally wild I know. Aww on a plus I won two giveaways, which really cheered me up I will show you what I won and the kind peeps who hosted them. I was going to do a Christmas one, but had no time so once everything is more settled I am going to sort out something nice for all your support this year.

Picture This #8 (Flowers)

Flowers by Igloo

Me and Barry (my bloke) went for a walk ages ago, and we had lunch facing Igloo which is this flower shop. I really adore their flowers, and I found myself ditching my lunch to go photograph them all. I'm not really a flowers person, by that I mean I prefer them outside than in the house I think it's because with my boy being so little they would be destroyed within minutes ...Possible eaten.

I thought I would save the photos for when it's cold outside, like it is now sometimes it's up lifting seeing all the colours. I do like Winter I know it's cold and people cough over each other on the bus, but it is a time when you can throw on a jumper and drink hot drinks and feel cosy. I do miss the flowers, everything is bare outside it looks very grim I hope we get same snow just to make it feel magic again. Yes I know, I know snow is not always great but it makes the London look about 100x better. I am a little worried, as I only have a few weeks to go before my baby born is born .....Really don't fancy trying to get to the hospital in snow, still at least while in labour it will make the view from the window a tad more interesting anyway I'm now rambling. Hope you enjoy the snaps x

Picture This #7

London town: taken by Barry
Cheer me up H&M
Matey heaven in a bath
Barry the biggest kid in the house :)
Spending time with Corben, my happy thought

It's been a rough couple of weeks, to be honest I have been posting about more events, press days and things because I have not wanted to talk about my life much lately. I'm missing the sun, which is very unlike me I'm a winter baby but been feeling crappy about going out. I think what with now being 7 months pregnant and having very little to wear (that fits), is not helping too ...When it's sunny I could just throw on a dress.

On a dark and gloomy day a couple of weeks ago, I ordered two things from H&M this lush stripped jumper and some leather look leggings. Was gutted that the leggings would not do up over bump, the jumper is super cute but I just fill like a mess in everything I wear at the moment. So my 'cheer up' fix, was a burst.

I'm finding even little things difficult at the moment, like having a bath (even with some Lush bits and Matey AKA best reason to have a child!) I'm just drained all the time now. The other day I had a bleed too which at the time I was very casual about, Barry took me to the hospital we waited forever (whoop whoop for cuts to the NHS) but the doctor's were great. I had to have tests etc and at the time I was very calm, but when they let me go home I think reality hit. Poor Basil our kitten wanted to play and instead I shouted at him, and burst out into tears ....This was in front of Corben (my 2yr old) who hugged me saying 'no cry mummy' .................... Which later made me cry in the kitchen for about an hour as I felt like the worst mum ever.

Me and bump (Logan) are fine and now my poor Corbie is ill, it's been a crappy. Yes this is a very self pity post, yes I'm moaning. It's nice to get it out and so I can get back to being happy, I have just over a month before baby is here. Barry (my bloke) has been amazing, looking after me and Corbie, and I will be in my leggings in no time. Plus it may be cold and grim in London, but soon it will be Christmas and the tree will be up and I'll take Corben to see Santa. Plus it's been nice to go to these events, they have been an escape but than when I really look at what I have I don't need to escape I'll just enjoy.

Anyway sorry for this post, just needed to let you know were my minds at you know me. I need to get it out so I can move on, blogging is my therapy I think. So if your having a down time, keep strong.
P.S thank you so much for all your twitter messages, I bloody love you lot xx
